How do you export music logs and playlists?2022-05-02T11:10:18-07:00

From the Player page, click the Export Songs icon next to the Search box.

In the dialogue box, choose the dates for the report. Then in the Export box, select Chronological for a music log or Most Played song playlist.

If exporting a most played log, a prompt will ask if you’d like to sort the results by week. This allows you to track changes in airplay during the chosen date range.

Finally, click Export and choose a location for the file.

Which subscription is best for me?2021-03-25T13:54:58-07:00

The best subscription tier depends on how you plan to use AudioLogger.

Here are some typical examples:

Bronze: I want to monitor, archive, and download audio segments for my stations.

Silver: I want to track music logs and playlists, provide segments to listeners, guests, and advertisers via email link, edit audio before exporting, and bookmark segments to collaborate with others on my team.

Gold: I want it all, including the ability to convert audio to video, track usage statistics, use audio fingerprinting, and get advanced automated features.

If you’re not sure which is best for you, start with a Bronze or Silver subscription. You can upgrade a subscription plan anytime.

How do I add a new station to my account?2022-05-02T11:14:55-07:00

It’s easy to add a station.

Adding a station is possible if you have purchased enough station slots in your account. So first, ensure there are open station slots available.

First, be sure you are on the Company page by clicking on the icon on the left of your screen and notice the Max Number Of Stations in your account.

Next, click on the Stations tab.

Check to see how many stations you are monitoring and if there are slots available.

If there are open slots, you can choose any available station by clicking the box next to that station. if no slots are available, either remove currently monitored stations or change the number of stations monitored. Once the request is confirmed (within 24 hours), you will receive an email notification. Note: There is a charge for monitoring additional stations. Check the pricing page for details.

Important: Remember to SAVE the changes by clicking the SAVE icon at the lower right corner of the screen.

To add a station not currently monitored, click on Request To Add New Station.

Fill out the form, click submit, and we’ll send an email notification when it’s ready.

Be sure to include the URL of the actual station stream in addition to the station website.

Then return to this screen and activate the station.

Again, remember to click SAVE after changes are made.

You will receive an email notification when a new station is ready and your account billing will be updated to reflect the changes, based on current prices on the Pricing Page here.

How many stations can I add?2021-04-04T12:02:27-07:00

As many as you want! There is no limit.

Theoretically, you could add every stream in the world, though that would get quite expensive. There is a small monthly fee for each station added to your account.

To add stations, just increase the number of stations monitored in your account. There must be an open slot available to add a new station. After we confirm the increase, you can choose any station already monitored or add a new station through the Add Station Request feature.

I want to monitor a station whose stream is geofenced. Can you do it?2021-04-04T12:05:05-07:00

In almost all cases, yes. We haven’t found a station yet that we can’t access, whether there’s geo-fenced blocking or not. If the station is only allowing access from very local access, there may be a problem, but we haven’t found that yet!

You can add virtually any radio stream from any location, regardless of where you live.

I can’t pay by credit card. Are there other options?2021-03-23T15:57:52-07:00

The fastest and easiest way to set up your account is with the credit card option, but yes, there are options.

We can send a monthly invoice for large accounts. Please note that all invoices are due in advance of services. In other words, we must receive payment before activating your account, and payments must be received prior to the beginning of the next pay period to remain active.

You can also subscribe using barter options, paying the fees with commercial inventory.

How can I get a volume discount?2021-03-25T13:56:11-07:00

We offer discounts for large companies with many users and subscriptions.

Contact us if you plan to add more than 50 subscriptions to your account.

How does the barter option work?2021-03-23T15:55:26-07:00

Barter is available for most stations. Your payment is made in exchange for commercial inventory.

The number of commercials required varies based on your station’s average quarter-hour ratings.

Contact us and we’ll put together options for barter requirements for your subscriptions.

How long is audio stored?2021-03-23T16:00:48-07:00

By default, all accounts have access to audio for 30 days. You can extend the 30 days indefinitely for a small charge. See the current rates for extra storage pricing on our pricing page.

Tell me about speech to text. How does it work?2021-03-25T13:57:43-07:00

When activated, AudioLogger listens to every spoken word and transcribes it to text. You can search all audio for any keyword to display every instance those words were mentioned.

You can also transcribe any audio segment and export the results as a text file. Contact Us for information on how to activate this upgrade.

Does captured audio include encoded audio for radio stations in PPM markets?2021-03-25T13:58:08-07:00

AudioLogger captures the audio broadcast by each stream. If the station broadcasts encoded audio in their stream, the recorded audio includes the encoding. This is a major benefit that allows stations to earn ratings credit for on-demand listening.

What stations should I choose to monitor?2022-05-02T11:15:33-07:00

It depends on how you want to use AudioLogger. Here are some common uses:

  • All stations in the local cluster to capture, edit, analyze, and repurpose.
  • Competing stations in the market to keep an ear on their every move.
  • Respected stations in a similar format to get insight on best practices.
  • Any station you admire worldwide to be inspired with new, fresh ideas.
  • Stations you supervise in other markets to stay updated on their performance.
Why would I want to transform audio to video?2022-05-02T11:15:47-07:00

Many studies have proven that online video is much more popular than audio files, even if the video is simply still images. Plus, video is more likely to be shared.

Video can have a dramatic effect on spreading your message, increasing tune-in, and driving ratings. That’s especially true in a PPM market. Listening to encoded audio results in rating credit.

AudioLogger’s audio to video feature adds a waveform element to give the video movement. Other online services charge a premium just to provide this service, but it is included as a feature for Gold subscribers.

Tell Me About The Advanced Analytics2022-05-02T11:15:55-07:00

AudioLogger provides a detailed analysis of your audio stream including data that shows when users tune in and tune out. But it goes far deeper. We can also show when they turn the volume up and down and hundreds of other useful data points.

The Advanced Analytics feature is available to Gold subscribers. There is a one-time $999 setup fee. Contact us for more information and to get started.

How and when can I make changes to stations monitored?2022-05-02T11:16:59-07:00

You can change stations in your account once per month with no additional charge.

For example, if you want to remove a station and replace it with another, you can do that. However, changes to stations monitored can be made only once every 30 days. Any changes made will lock all selections for the month. So choose carefully and make all changes at one time.

To change stations, navigate to the Stations tab in your account:

From there, simply de-select the station you wish to remove and then select the station you wish to add by clicking on the box next to the station. Remember to save your changes by clicking the Save icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.

You can add stations to your account at any time. Each new station will result in an additional fee, prorated to the date the station is added. Changes made during a month will be added to the following month’s charges and a prorated fee for additional days used (in the previous month) will be included. For details on how to add stations, click here.

To reduce the number of stations monitored, contact us through Support here. Your account will be adjusted in AudioLogger.

  • If you wish to reduce the stations monitored, please ensure the number of stations active in your account is at or below the number of stations you wish. If you’re actively monitoring 10 stations, we cannot reduce your account to fewer than 10.
  • You will be charged for the total number of stations you have chosen to monitor. However, to reduce charges, you must contact us. Removing a station from active status in your account will not reduce charges. In other words, if your account is activated to monitor 10 stations, but you have only chosen 8, you will be charged for 10.

Why are songs played not showing up on the playlist for some stations?2022-05-02T11:18:12-07:00

Programmers love the music monitoring feature in AudioLogger. It allows you to see any station’s music log and most-played list. But sometimes a station stream is missing information.

AudioLogger detects what song is played in three ways:

1. The info is provided by the station stream’s metadata.

2. AudioLogger captures API information from the station.

3. AudioLogger’s own Audio Fingerprint for the station that actually listens to the streams and enriches it with this information. We are able to match over 40 million tracks.

Most stations include metadata in their stream but some have technical difficulties that result in missing songs. If you find a station that is not displaying the music information properly, please contact us so we can switch the station to another method of matching the song information.
